Do we all agree that each of us plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and respectful environment?
Here are some key principles we believe can help us achieve this goal. We're all ears for your thoughts!
Equal Accountability:
1A) Accountability is key in the MVCDAO community. DAO Authors hold the responsibility to ensure their proposals are both comprehensive and feasible for execution.
It's crucial to understand that incomplete or impractical submissions may not garner the necessary consensus, leading to a potential 'Against the Proposal' vote from many DAO members.
Any failure of a proposal should not be attributed to others, but seen as an opportunity for self-improvement and re-submission.
1B) Picture the consensus process as a treasure hunt. The more detailed the map (the proposal), the easier it is for everyone to find the treasure (consensus). As an author, your role is to guide us [DAO member] smoothly to the treasure, minimizing disputes and detours along the way. It's all about the journey, not just the destination! [The good intension behind the idea]
1C) Realism trumps good intentions. A well-structured proposal, complete with a feasible execution plan and cost-effective solutions, is the golden ticket to advancing MVCDAO, not other factors.
Solution-Oriented:
Be a problem solver, not just a problem finder. Avoid presenting numerous problems without feasible solutions, which can cause unnecessary fear and doubt.
To put it simply: Let's not just point out the potholes, let's also bring a shovel!" 🕳🪓
Patience: ⏳
MVC, like Rome, won't be built in a day. Patience with each other and the process is key.
Fact-Based Discussions:
Share only verified and factual information. If unsure, state it to prevent misinformation. Let's keep our community informed and trustworthy!
No FUD:
Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) are growth inhibitors. Let's maintain a positive atmosphere!
Public Conversations:
Transparency is our guiding principle. Let's keep conversations open and public.
Rule Adherence:
Respect the rules. Work towards evolving them, not challenging them without a viable alternative.
Unity:
We're all in this together. Let's avoid division and work towards our common goals.
