MetaID

MetaID is an MVC-native decentralized identity protocol

INTRODUCTION

MVC has a native built-in distributed ID protocol named "MetaID" which is also the first layer of distributed ID scheme implemented on the UTXO public chain. The distributed ID scheme is an important basic protocol for Web3 applications. Through distributed ID protocol, the complexity and threshold of developing Web3 applications on MVC has been greatly reduced, making it possible for Web3 applications to explode on a large scale.

SIGNIFICANCE

  • Users only need a private key to use all MetaID-enabled applications; users can control data and precisely control which applications can access which personal information;

  • User basic information and application transaction data are recorded on the nodes controlled by themselves, so that user data has nothing to do with wallets and applications, breaking the traditional data monopoly;

  • Let discrete UTXO transactions converge on one vertex, all Web3 data has a clear user orientation, and users really control their own data๏ผ›

  • The data between different applications can communicate with each other and identify each other, eliminating the information isolation between applications;

  • Data of different protocols can be combined and reused under the association of MetaID, greatly reducing the development work of Web3 applications;

  • It supports public chains deployed on multiple UTXO models, and user data can form a unified tree-like data structure even if it is scattered on multiple chains.
