Step 1: Prepare Your Proposal

First things first, you need to have a clear idea of what you want to propose. This could be anything from a new feature, or even a request for funds or grants. Make sure your proposal aligns with the MVCDAO's goals and values.

Step 2: Draft Your Proposal

Next, you'll need to draft your proposal. This should include:

  • Executive Summary: A brief summary of your proposal. Think of it as your elevator pitch! 🏢

  • Motivation: Why should the MVC community implement your proposal? Make it compelling! 💡

  • Specifications: Detailed description of your proposal. The more specific, the better! 📝

Step 3: Submit Your Proposal

  1. Connect your wallet.

Confirm you have a Space wallet address holding at least 0.2% vSpace governance coin. If not, consider delegating your votes to a delegate or committee member who can create a proposal on your behalf.

Once your proposal is ready, it's time to submit it! To do this, you'll need to:

  1. Navigate to the "explore DAOs" section or click on "My DAOs" within your profile.

  2. Select either the MVC Constitution for Constitutional Proposals.

  3. Click on "Create new proposal".

  4. Fill in the proposal name and description (preview image is optional).

  5. Add proposal actions to be executed if passed.

  6. Preview your proposal and either save as a draft or submit on-chain.

Step 4: Await Voting Results

Once your proposal is submitted, it's up to the MVCDAO community to vote on it. A proposal passes if:

  • For non-constitutional proposals, 60% votes are cast in favor than against.

  • For constitutional proposals, 75% votes are cast in favor than against.

If your proposal passes:

Congratulations! After a certain commencement period, executive team, administrator will effect the changes.

If it doesn't pass,

Don't worry! You can always improve and resubmit with maximum 4 times per subject matter.
