How MVC can be ''Decentralized'' with only ASIC mining ?

  1. Our mining mechanism is the same as Bitcoin:

If MVC is not decentralized enough, that means Bitcoin is also not decentralized enough. However, Bitcoin is widely recognized as the most decentralized public chain.

  1. Decentralization is about the mechanism rather than the specific quantity shared by everyone.

As long as a network is permissionless and allows for fair competition, it is decentralized. The number of miners is a result of fair competition in the game.

  1. The advantage of PoW over PoS.

Under POW mechanism, even if a mining giant briefly holds a large proportion of MVC's hash power, they are still in a fair competition environment and do not have a monopoly advantage based on first-mover or scale advantages. They are subject to equal competition from other miners at every moment, which is not the case for PoS. PoS is more like a joint-stock company where later miners need to pay higher costs for proportional mining rights compared to early miners.

  1. Since MVC launched, over 20 different miners/pools have participated in MVC mining:

MVCPOOL has always been open to ordinary users for mining. However, why is most of the computing power coming from one pool recently? It's simple - one pool has pushed the mining difficulty of MVC relatively high, making it unprofitable for other miners/pools to participate in MVC mining, rather than other miners having a negative view of MVC. As for why some miners push the difficulty of MVC relatively high, that is a game theory strategy in an open competitive environment, which we will not comment on. If users think they can make a profit by mining MVC, they should actively participate in mining to earn profits.

  1. Decentralization is not about egalitarianism, nor is it about attacking giants. It is about permissionless, fair & competitive in open market.

We should actively promote greater diversity in MVC mining rather than focusing on the hashrate of some "gigantic farms". All "gigantic farms" are playing within the PoW rules, so there is no blame to be placed on them. Meanwhile, we have been communicating with more large pools such as Fish Pool and Ant Pool recently, and expect more pools to participate in MVC mining in the future. Gigantic farms may be unavoidable, but as long as they are permissionless and fair, they are decentralized. Decentralization is not about egalitarianism, nor is it about attacking giants. It has nothing to do with the number of miners.

Summary:

We believe Bitcoin is the most decentralized project, and they went through similar situations in the early days. MVC is going through a similar situation now, but this is not a problem of being "not decentralized" enough. So, everyone can rest assured.
